Costa Rica: Day Cuatro Yesterday waking up was a bit harder because we stayed out on the beach so late. Still, I managed to wake up at 7:45 AM with no alarm. It's been nice to wake up early and on my own here. I don't know what it is that has switched on that part of my brain but it's nice. We showered and headed to La Rosi Soda Tica (I misspelled it yesterday) for breakfast. I delicious Huevos Rancheros there. The morning conference was more good information. One of the guest speakers Gabi is very inspirational to me and I was taking lots of notes anytime she speaks. In the afternoon we ducked out at about 11:30 to prepare. I'm sure we're the only group here that was crazy enough to be doing a release while we're in the jungle. We grabbed a slice of pizza from across the street while we were working. Thankfully we have awesome people like Sara working back in the States. Love our team. We cranked on getting everything ready for the release. (BTW if you haven't seen it yet check out The Odds and Bronze Whale for some great new music.)
After we got the release launched we went back to the conference where it was our turn to speak. It was great to share our information with people. After was a show and tell section where everyone got to play a song and get feedback from the industry pros who are here. Again it was very empowering for me because the pros vocalized everything I was thinking when I was listening to the songs. Good to know I am on the right track in my opinions and tastes.
Afterward, we grabbed dinner back at La Rosi Soda Tica (yes it is that good) Seriously, everything we have had here is amazingly delicious, but that's what happens when the food is fresh and the people making it do it with love and pride. Afterward, we rolled over to The Beach Dog where it was open mic and the singer/songwriters where all set up to rock. The place was packed out and the talent was great to see in a live setting like that. We ended the night up in the party room drinking and playing dance tunes for everyone crazy enough to stay up late and drink with us.
Day five tomorrow.
